Our story began over fifteen years ago in San Diego with the inception of Infotech Systems Management (ISM).  The consultants at ISM have consistently provided exceptional data warehouse solutions, decision support tools and custom application development for healthcare organizations throughout the country.  In conjunction with the launch of the groundbreaking California IHA Pay for Performance (P4P) program in 2004, the Ascender P4P application was created to help provider organizations report and manage their clinical measures.  Combining our expertise in data warehousing and healthcare analytics, we simplified the process of data collection and performance calculations.  Provider organizations utilizing our software are provided easy to use tools to affect their scores, maximize their rates, and improve patient care.  New modules and measurement sets are added to our product line every year.

In 2006, the company underwent some exciting restructuring.  Ascender Software, LLC was formed to handle all of the sales, support, and continued development of our Data Management Suite.  In addition, Mark Schafer, MD came on board as the new Chief Medical Officer.  The company continues to grow steadily with the addition of new sales and marketing staff.

Today, Ascender Software LLC is an exciting place to work.  Advanced technology makes our suite one of the only systems of its kind to offer weekly updates and dynamic reports.  The Ascender Data Management Suite is offered as both a hosted service and a site license installation.  Many clients have integrated the P4P, Risk Adjustment (HCC), and Communications Manager (CM) modules in to their current enterprise solutions, pushing alerts into their Electronic Medical Records or Practice Management Systems.
